Brand new display font: Jazz Malino

You know I’m like a cheetah. As soon as a new, interesting font appears in the grasslands of the interwebs, I go and take a sniff.

Jazz Malino came out this week and the hint is in the name. It is the sort of playful, jazzy font you can use on album covers, music-related book covers and music festival posters.

Jazz Malino comes in only one weight, but it really doesn’t need any more. It is also, I’m glad to report, one of those typefaces that, because of their illustration-like construction, you can modify by stretching or squishing without needing to go for a confession later.

I’ll be honest: I lifted the color palette straight from the font use examples. It was pretty cool and I’m not apologizing.
