Brand-New Awesome: Wooden Okadio
You know I’m in the frontlines for your benefit. Right there, deep in the trenches, resting in sleeping bags made of hog’s ass and discarded cantaloupe skins, just to catch a glimpse of a new font release worth mentioning on this blog.
And you know what? All those sleepless nights in wet socks and dirty underwear have produced results: Wooden Okadio.
Maulana Creative have released a beautiful display serif with elegant ligatures that’s definitely worth a look or ten. To me, it looks perfect for headlines, logos and titles, and for that reason I took some time to create the cover for an imaginary magazine:
If you’re wondering what Onero means, don’t. It doesn’t mean anything, but I wanted to showcase the cool O-N ligature.
Wooden Okadio comes in only one weight and it has no matching italics. It needs neither of those things.
You can download it HERE, HERE and HERE.
