Beautiful Freak by Itsmesimon: bold and hand-letterish.

It takes a lot to impress this veteran typeface trawler but, by god, Beautiful Freak has achieved it.

Beautiful Freak is quite unlike anything I’ve showcased before.

I know, I know. Literally 106% of the typefaces I review on The Daily Typographic are sans display fonts, so how is this any different?

I can’t really put it into words, but something about the flowing, organic, handlettered forms of the characters, the amazing variety of ligatures and the 3 alternate styles per character will turn any text into a cool, street art-themed design that looks genuinely hand-lettered.

This is a font that’s begging to be used on album and book covers and on summery packaging and t-shirt designs.

It comes in only one weight and style, but do you really need any more? Let me answer that question for you: no.

You can purchase Beautiful Freak HERE. I don’t say this very often, but this is not a typeface you should be without.
