Design Cuts & The Futur release amazing new font bundle.

You know what I always say. There are only two rules for leading a full, extraordinary life:

  1. Never mix matter with anti-matter.

  2. When Design Cuts release a font bundle, you buy the goddamn bundle.

So, should you buy this one? The answer may surprise you…

No, it won’t: the answer is ‘obviously yes’.

However, I’m feeling a bit philosophical after a having a burrito dinner that could conceivably kill me (and people in the vicinity of the toilet I’m about to invade, probably triggering WW3 in the process) so here are some thoughts.

The font bundle itself is amazing. It costs a little bit more than the usual $29 (it’s actually priced at $49) but that’s a small price to pay for the quality and variety on offer.

But here’s the twist: am I getting it?

Probably not.

‘Blasphemy,’ I hear you say.

Well, not really.

While some people think that Chris Do (founder & CEO at The Futur) is a bit arrogant and has a supremely punchable face, I disagree on both counts and that has nothing to do with me probably not purchasing this bundle.

The main reason is this: I have a metric shitton of fonts waiting to be used and, while I’m always excited to try out new ones, I almost never end up using the ones I get in bundles. On the other hand, if I buy single fonts, they get used. Almost always.

Then why do I think you should get it, even if I most probably won’t?

Well, I imagine you don’t have as many fonts sitting on your hard disk as I do and this is too good of an offer to not take advantage of. If you do, maybe you should stop, look at yourself in the mirror, contemplate what’s important in life and give this particular impulse buy a miss.

UPDATE: I just bought it. Fuck my life.
