Mathison: today’s free pick is a flared serif wonder!

Short one today, as I’m invited for dinner in a vampire nest. What’s one the menu? Neck Flambé, Sweet and Sour Inside of Thigh and Virgin Blood Pudding. Yum.

Mathison is a display serif… wait. I can’t say that it’s a serif with a straight face. Those constructs are not serifs. They are flared… terminals, I guess? Maybe I can call them… vestigial serifs?

Listen, here’s the deal: those things are serifs in the same way that a clitoris is a penis.

But serif or not, the font itself is an amazing proposition: an all-caps wonder in two weights (regular and bold) and matching italics, free for personal and commercial use.

What more could anyone ask for? Well, yeah, I mean, some Schezwan Crispy Wrist would be amazing but other than that.
