GEO by Rafael Nascimento: this one’s not for reading.

Yeah, sure, I know: the purpose of graphic design is to express information in a visual way.

But here’s the thing: that information may not be contained in text. Sometimes, we want to communicate mood above else.

GEO is perfect for the latter scenario because its strength does not lie in its legibility. The exact opposite: making out text written in GEO is harder than an incel’s penis the moment they discovered PornHub.

But that’s not its point, y’ know?

GEO is amazing for retro-inspired designs. The font’s page on Behance is filled to the brim with gorgeous panels combining the typeface with manga graphics, mid-century inspired illustrations, and abstract geometric graphics and it literally fits every scenario.

Now, I don’t have the time, and possibly the talent, to create that stuff but I took five minutes out of my very busy day to create the ‘graphic’ you see above.

You can download GEO here. Rafael Nascimento has a bunch of other cute typefaces for you to check out there. Go nuts!
