Catallina: You’d have to be nuts to pass this one up.

Earlier today I decided to stop doomscrolling on Twitter for a bit and take a look at Behance’s front page.

A heavenly choir sounded. A hymn of beauty and transcendence reverberated in my dinky office. The birdsong outside suddenly got louder and the smell of night-blooming jasmine came through my window.

Because there she was.

Catallina.

Dressed in white, her brown flowing hair forming whirls in the balmy evening air. I winked, and she gave me the finger.

At first, I was shocked. But then I realized. I wasn’t worthy of such a typeface.

A stunning all-caps display sans with A TON of ligatures that’s FREE? I mean, what’s the catch?

Surprisingly, there’s none. This is a breathtakingly beautiful font that you can use for free, in both personal and commercial settings.

Want to know something even better? Rostype, the foundry that distributes Catallina, also offers many other typefaces for download under the exact same terms. And these are not throwaway, BS typefaces designed in ten minutes, either. Most of them are fonts I want in my library and I want them now!

Simply put, to say that I’m impressed by Catallina, and Rostype in general, would be a huge understatement.

Yow owe it to yourself to go check them out. If you like what you see, consider making a donation. 100% worth it.
