Holy Smokes Supply Co, a new favorite foundry for 2021!
Hello and a happy new year to everybody!
Before we begin, allow me to share something with you: my wife will be giving birth to our daughter this Saturday, and having a new baby in the house may lead to slight modifications to my posting schedule, ie. you may get jack shit for a while.
But for now, let me introduce you to Holy Smokes Supply Co., an amazing design studio and foundry, and their typefaces.
Out of the bat, I should mention that Holy Smokes Supply Co. is not interested in body text typefaces. They only offer display fonts in their store, but what display fonts they are!
Running the gamut from cartoony to retro mid-century fun, there’s a big variety of fonts to discover in their shop, each with its own character. The only consistent quality between them is how delightfully exuberant they are (yes, even Grave New World). Oh, and how cheap they are, usually somewhere between $10-15$.
I will be taking a look at quite a few of them over the next weeks, so stay tuned.
