LL Black Matrix: a free 5×9 matrix-based font

You guys and gals know me. When it comes to font discovery, I’m like a Jack Russell puppy. I take a whiff, bark and sniff them out in seconds.

This one came out two days ago, dude. And it’s a doozy.

Based on a 5 × 9 matrix, this font is perfect for retro and retro-futuristic designs that look like they came out of the bowels of a dot matrix device. Moreover, I’d definitely use it as a console (command line) font in a graphic design setting.

Here’s a quick design based on my MS-DOS experience from the late-80s
