Megazoid by David Jonathan Ross: the font that made me join his club
This is my second post in a row (the first one is here) that deals with David Jonathan Ross’s type, and it’s the one that convinced me to join his Font of the Month Club.
Megazoid is a (here we go again) display sans that looks fantastic. I realize that, at this point, I must be getting tiring with my obsession with display sans-serifs, so I promise that next week I’ll be reviewing body text serifs and the week after that my sworn enemies, my nemesis-es, brush and script typefaces. Also, if you don’t like it, you can start your own blog with serifs, cocaine and hookers.
There’s not really much to be said about this typeface, other than the fact that it comes in one weight, with a regular style, two shade styles (left & right) and a fill style that fills in the counters and the eyes of the characters. It will surely look great on packages, t-shirts, record covers and posters.
