Playtoon: a cute script, free this week on Creative Market

Here’s a perk of being a Creative Market customer: every Monday, you get a selection of six free goodies to download. Here’s the catch: most of them are pretty bad.

Sometimes, though, there are some real gems in there. This week, for example, Playtoon by Iqbal Habibi is free for the taking by anyone with an account.

Playtoon is a lovely script font with a positive attitude and a sunny disposition. I’m not a huge fan of script fonts, to be honest (and I’m even less of a fan of huge script font packs; for some reason, they rub me the wrong way) but this one is an absolute cutie.

It’s nice for logos and branding but, in my opinion, it’s just perfect for t-shirt designs. You know all those summer-inspired designs you see in Pull & Bear and Zara around May every year? Think that.
