We’re back, baby! And a PSA!

After what was supposed to be a two-week hiatus, but which ended up lasting one week due to a combination of inertia and too many cool fonts, we’re back!

What can you expect from us for the rest of 2020? Here’s a list.

  • More font reviews, accompanied by our new and awesome Font Profile Cards.

  • Search on the blog so you can get to the content you want easier.

  • A very cool series on typography-based book covers. I’ve already accepted some submissions and things are going well. Each book cover will receive its own blog post, explaining the thinking and creative decisions that led to the final design.

  • And of course, Free Font Fridays will still be a thing!

Speaking of Free Font Fridays, this is the PSA: if you’ve subscribed to our mailing list, you’re eligible to take part in our weekly Free Font Friday giveways. The thing is, the only way for me to send you the fonts is by licensing them to your name upon purchase. Let me write that again in all caps: THE ONLY WAY FOR ME TO SEND YOU THE FONTS IS BY LICENSING THEM TO YOUR NAME UPON PURCHASE.

The reason I mention this is that some people never responded to my emails asking for their full name in order for me to be able to license the fonts to them. This means that I couldn’t send the fonts.

But listen here, guys & gals: I get that you’re worried about your privacy and all, and I wish there was another way for me to send the fonts to someone, but for the time being there isn’t one.

On my part, I can promise that your personal info is safe with me. However, if you still decide that you are not willing to send your full name to me (fair enough) I’ll have to put the fonts you won in a jackpot and give them to someone that actually responds to my emails. There are already TWO fonts in the jackpot, so some lucky soul will win three fonts this Friday! Hooray!

That’s it.

I’ll see you tomorrow for our first font review of the new season!
