Stadio Now Deva by zetafonts: a flared display sans

An imaginary record cover from the sixties using Stadio Now Deva

There are certain typefaces that immediately make you go, “I know this one.”

It’s not because you recognize it from somewhere in particular, and it’s not because you’ve worked with it in the past, but its letterforms appear to be part of some collective unconscious that defies explanation.

Studio Now Deva is like that. This magnificently beautiful typeface by zetafonts comes in six static weights and one variable font version, and it screams “vintage sophistication”, which is the reason I couldn’t resist making an imaginary record cover as today’s ten-minute design project.

Studio Now Deva is a devanagari extension of the original Stadio Now family, and it lends itself perfectly to design projects that need a little bit of swing and spice. Designs for record covers, posters and t-shirts, especially, are perfect opportunities for you to deploy it.

Stadio Now Deva will set you back $70-$4200 depending on the license type you choose, although most designers’ use cases would be adequately covered by the lowest tier.
