Free Font Friday #5: We’re giving away Varese Outlined!
This week is the gift that keeps on giving: not only did I come across what is destined to be one of my favorite display fonts ever but I also discovered Varese while browsing MyFonts’s new releases list.
The font is part of a larger family but since this is a thrifty, self-funded site with a mailing list the size of an amoeba’s left testicle (amoebas have testicles, right?) I couldn’t really splurge on the entire thing so you’re getting the Outlined style, which includes a Shadow Outline substyle.

As you can see, it’s a blast of sans retro coolness that’ll spice up your design real good.
How the giveaway works

Any subscriber to our newsletter is eligible to take place in the weekly competition. If you still haven’t signed up to our biweekly newsletter, you can do so by going HERE and entering your email address. By subscribing, you also get a free copy of our 160-page long Type Report 2020, an amazing resource chock-full of tips and font recommendations!
Once you’ve signed up, you’ll automatically be placed in the competition each and every week.
The giveaway happens on a Saturday. The winner will receive an email asking for their full name so that the font can be licensed to them. As soon as we receive an answer, the font will be transferred to the winner.
The winner has three (3) days to claim their free font by replying to our email. After the three days have passed, if the prize hasn’t been claimed, it will be offered to a different newsletter subscriber, in which case the original winner will not receive a prize.
